The design is sleeveless with a single adjustable shoulder strap, and the bow at the front is fixed rather than detachable. The skirt is A-line and built in dropped tiers. At the back a shirred panel stretches with the body, closed by an invisible zip with a hook and clasp. The woven fabric is unlined.
One shoulder decides the hair — up, or swept to the bare side — and the bow decides the jewellery, which is none. This maxi dress is built for a long event: the shirred back gives when you sit, the pockets take a phone, and the tiers keep moving. A heel suits the length, and nothing else is required.
